The Government of Rwanda has agreed to allocate land to East African Business Council (EABC) to construct its regional head offices in Kigali.
According to a letter addressed to EABC's chairman, Vimal Shah, the Government, through the ministry of East African Community Affairs, has allocated land in Kiyovu, near Rwanda Social Security Board head offices.
The offer follows a request by EABC to regional governments, of which Rwanda has become the first country to respond.
Rwanda also agreed to continue facilitating further discussions on other necessities required to have the headquarters built in Kigali.
EABC's headquarters are currently in Arusha, Tanzania.
