KENYA Football Federation [FKF] has shifted the venue for their return leg of the Senior Africa Women qualifiers with Rwanda, from Nyayo stadium to Machakos Kenyatta stadium.
The game is due on Sunday.
Kenya are looking to bounce back after losing by a solitary goal in the first leg in Kigali a fortnight ago.
In a statement, Football Kenya Federation chairman Sam Nyamweya said: "The Machakos County Stadium is in good shape and, as a federation, it’s our noble goal to spread International matches to other stadiums outside the city to enable Kenyans watch top flight football.”
Remera Rukoma’s forward Alice Niyoyita scored the lone goal in the first leg match at Stade de Kigali, handing her side a slim advantage going into the second leg.
In the build-up to the weekend’s crucial encounter against a more experienced Kenya side, Grace Nyinawumuntu’s team were thrashed 6-0 by the national Under-17 boys team last Saturday at Ferwafa ground in Remera, Kigali.
The former Rwanda international central defender is expected to release the list of her final 18-player squad today afternoon ahead of the team’s departure to Nairobi on Thursday.
The winner over the two legs will take on Nigeria’s Super Falcons.

Meanwhile, Confederation of African Football [CAF] has appointed Botswana’s Julie Bolankang as the centre referee, Botsalo Mosimanetala and Bernadette Kwimbira (both from Malawi) as assistant referees, and Kenya’s Damaris Kimani as the fourth referee.
The match commissioner is Teruwort Woldemariam from Ethiopia.
Seven teams will emerge from the qualifiers to join hosts Namibia for the finals, scheduled from October11-24.
The tournament will also serve as qualifiers for the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada next year.
