Team work has been a guiding principle for many successful people worldwide. As noted by Steve Jobs, "it marks a big step in your development when you come to realise that other people can help you do a better job than you could do alone”

When we were forming discussion groups in secondary school, I remember our teacher saying: "Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a progress and working together is success.”

I believe all this explains the power and value of teamwork.

When it comes to academics, most students who form discussion groups tend to excel in the studies because they join their strengths to master some subjects while also overcoming their weaknesses in particular areas through sharing ideas.  And that’s what working as a team is all about.

School work is always a lot, challenging and at times the road to success may seem blocked because of various reasons. But the power of teaming up can become an ultimate solution since it means combining the knowledge and skills you all have as a team and putting them to good use  so as to achieve a common goal. As the saying goes, "two heads are better than one”.

Team work also promotes creativity and innovation among individuals. For instance if the group assigns you a task, you will be compelled to research which opens your mind to more ideas and new opportunities.

Personally, I believe there is no better secret to success than working as a team to achieve your desired goals in life. This spirit of working together produced fruits for us at school and our results reflected that.

So, dear students, keep in mind that we do not only use the brains that we have but even those we borrow. Create a group discussion or make a team today and let your academic success be a dream come true.
