Rwanda’s women national football team head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu has said her team has a lot of work to do if they are to overcome Kenya in the return leg of the 2014 Africa Women Championship qualifier.

The She-Amavubi will take a slim 1-0 lead into the return leg clash, which will be played on the weekend of March 1-3 in Nairobi. The continental championships will be hosted by Namibia from October 15 to 25.

Talking to Times Sport on Monday, the former Rwandan international central defender said she was happy with her team’s performance in the first leg but acknowledged it is not over yet.

"I am happy for my girls, who beat a more experienced Kenya team but it is not over yet, we have the return leg match to prepare for. The return leg will be even tougher, so for us it is the most important match,” she said. Nyinawumuntu added, "We shall go there confident and determined not just to defend our slim lead but to try and finish off the job with an away win.”

Rwanda, which returned to competitive women football for the first time in five years, got the winning goal through Kamonyi FC’s striker Alice Niyoyita in a match played at Stade de Kigali on Sunday.

The winner after the two legs will proceed to the next round to play the winner of the Nigeria/Sierra Leone fixture.

Nyinawumuntu’s team will report back for residential camp tomorrow at la Palisse hotel after a two-day short break and will depart for Kenya on February 26.
