The volumes sold also increased to 5,015,400 Bank of Kigali and 1,000 Uchumi Supermarket Limited shares traded in seven deals, up from 225,300 Bank of Kigali, 1,600 Bralirwa and 6,400 Uchumi shares traded in 17 deals the previous Monday.
Bank of Kigali’s share remained the most attractive during the week, trading at between Rwf267 and Rwf275. The bank’s share price closed at Rwf275 yesterday, unchanged compared to last week.
The lender yesterday earned Rwf1.35b, up from Rwf57.5m realised last week.
Uchumi, on the other hand, traded at Rwf175, unchanged from last Monday.
However, the retailer saw a decline in volumes and earnings from shares traded during the week, with only 1,000 shares worth Rwf175,000 exchanging hands yesterday compared to 6,400 shares worth Rwf1.12m that were traded last Monday.
