Rwanda’s rap sensation Joshua Tuyishimire aka Jay Polly will sample his new album dubbed Ikosora today at the MTN centre in Nyarutarama. The 10-song album will be officially launched in May.

Among the songs are Ikosora, DeuxFoisDeux, Kumusenyi and Menya abawe among others.

The DeuxFoisDeux singer had planned the launch during the Christmas season last year but postponed it.

"There were many activities during the Christmas season which my sponsors were involved in, this forced me to postpone it to a later date,” he explained.

Jay Polly was raised in Gikondo, a Kigali suburb. He started his music career at the age of eight and spent some time in the church choir. The 25-year-old rapper has graced some of the most prestigious events in the country’s budding music scene and has shared a stage with regional and international superstars.

Polly is a founding member of Tuff Gang, a group of three rappers formed in 2008.
