The government intends to make the youth role models and agents of change, the Minister of Local Government, James Musoni, has said

The Minister was addressing over 200 youth participating in Urugerero (national service) in Rwamagana District on Saturday.

He reminded the youth that they form a big force to trigger off the process of building a strong nation.

"Social transformation is a priority and to achieve this, fundamental change is needed. The young people like you therefore must play an instrumental role,” Minister Musoni said.

"You must find solutions to the challenges we are facing so as to build a good society,” he added.

Musoni called upon the youth to participate in various activities like community development, health, teaching communities and sanitation.

"Be exemplary, guide communities on what to do and how to transform their lives,” he said.

Among the activities undertaken by the youth, include the construction of a cell office.
