THIRTEEN-TIME league champions APR FC thrashed Gicumbi FC 4-1 to extend their quest for the Turbo King Football League title yesterday in Northern Province. 

Goals from Michel Ndahinduka, Isae Isonga, Jean Baptista Mugiraneza and Herve Rugwiro were enough to help the military side book maximum points. 

APR maintains lead at the helm of the league standings with 43 points in 18 matches played this season. 

In other matches played, Espoir succumbed to their second loss of the season after a 1-0 win for Musanze in Rusizi while Gilbert Kanyankole’s side beat Amagaju away 1-0 in Nyamagabe. 

SC Kiyovu moved to third position with 32 points while Musanze remains on seventh slot with 30 points. 

In Kigali, Esperance played a goalless draw against Mukura while Marines registered a 1-0 win over rivals Etincelles in an epic derby at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu. 

Marines jumped to tenth position with 13 points while Esperance moved to twelveth place with 11 points.
