Learn a new skill You are in a community with all kinds of people having all kinds of skills; why not learn something from them? Like learn to play a guitar or something. If all fails do some bartending perhaps. It is fun learning how to make a few cocktails.

Keep a diary
Okay maybe a diary is a little too much for some students but it is nice to jot your day-to-day activities and progress. You don’t know how much fun it will be years later on a boring afternoon when you stumble across it and laugh at all the silly things.
Stay up all night
For crying out loud, you are going to be working and sleep will be vital to you. Get a day and stay up all night. Not to read or do something constructive but just talk and dance and wait for dawn with friends. You have the rest of your life to be serious.
Say sorry
You know very well that you’ve been a pain in someone’s life. Please walk to them and apologise and be sincere. You will probably meet that person in the future, so it’s best not to hold or leave any grudges.
Take a trip
You’ve heard of how cheap Burundi and Uganda are. Just wake up one morning and go with friends. Besides all you need these days is an ID so make use of what the government is doing and travel.
Live
It’s nice to know you are taking books seriously but all that will be for nothing if one day you realise just how old you’ve grown and you didn’t really ‘live’. I’m not talking about breathing; I’m talking about simple things that make you feel ‘alive’. Be free!
Fall in love
Many of us actually spend most of the time in college in the library or hall, having no time for love. But college romances sometimes last a lifetime, so go and find your soul mate or at least someone to sweeten your memories of the place.
