Kigali Serena Hotel will be offering a special night for lovers with discount rates for Valentine’s Day accommodation, a seven course candlelit dinner and a special jazz performance by Isaiah Katumwa from Uganda. 

Okapi Hotel Valentine’s Day Match-up

Okapi Hotel located at Muhima is hosting a single’s party and a chance to win Rwf100, 000. Registration is on-going for a fee of Rwf20, 000. On arrival at the hotel on Valentine’s Day, a person will randomly pick a number and will be escorted to a table where he/she will sit and wait for the date or find the date already there. Later a jury will pick the best matching couple to win Rwf100, 000. There will be a live band. Deadline for registration is Friday 1pm. 

Valentine’s special Fashion Party

Celebrate a Rwandan fashion party with the Rwandan-international fashion brand (Rwandan Clothing) and also buy Rwanda Clothing in a big Valentine’s special fashion sale. The Fashion Party will include among other things, the new beach collection. Rwanda Clothing will also be casting new models and doing photo shoots. The event starts at 8pm at the Rwanda Clothing premises. Entrance is free. 

Lake Kivu Serena Hotel

The hotel is offering a special package on Valentine’s Day. The day’s theme is Rendez – Vous, Relax and Reconnet with your loved one. There will be a candlelit dinner and live jazz band music for revelers. Then on the 15th, they will host the Beach Chocolate party on the shores of Lake Kivu

Kigali City Council Valentine’s Day Festival

Kigali City Council in partnership with Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs has organised a two-day multicultural and food festival at Expo grounds on Friday and Saturday respectively. It will include traditional dancing, traditional dressing, and food tasting. Among the restaurants invited are Khana Khazana, Hilltop Country Club, Car Wash, Chinese and Indian restaurants. Not limited to the said above are Burundian, Kenyan and Nigerian Cuisine that will be available. With a fee of Rwf15, 000, guests will choose any dish they like and any drink from the available bars. KCC will be launching Kigali City Traditional Dance Group "Indagamirwabahizi” and there will be entertainment from music bands and musicians. Both events will start at 5 pm – 11 pm.
