It was a big turn up for the largely successful screening, despite a few technical hitches with the sound.
"We were thrilled to present our first series to the public. With those series we are able to give the viewers an up close and personal look at the Rwandan society,” said Dennis Nsanzamahoro, writer and director of Sakabaka.
Sakabaka goes behind closed doors and delves into the exhilarating day-to-day lives of Rwandans. The series capture love stories, action and horror.
The premiere started at 7pm and ended at 8:20pm. During the event, 30 actors were given certificates by the Minister of Sports and Culture, Mitali Protais for their outstanding roles in the movie.
Sakabaka is a television series showing on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency with Kinyarwanda and English version. It has a collection of 24 series.
The first season follows the story of two little boys raised in deprived families but as they grow up, their lives take different paths.
Produced by Cinematic Productions Ltd, the first season has so far been well received by Rwandans. Louis Kamanzi is the executive producer of the movie.
