Miss Rwanda Kigali pre-selection slated to take place today evening has attracted a big number of contestants.
Although only three contestants will be picked to proceed to the grand finale, by yesterday evening over 22 girls had registered to take part in pre-selections at Amahoro stadium.
Kigali pre-selection has recorded the highest number of applicants as other locations across the country registered about 10 or less applicants.
"So far we have about 22 applicants but registration is still open at our offices, Cogebanque in Kisimenti or Online. Applicants can also show up at the venue before 11am today for registration,” Sandra Teta, the organising Committee spokesperson told The New Times.
The Kigali pre-selection is the last before the successful 16 girls head to a boot camp at La Palisse Gashora beginning on February 11.
Other than cat walking, contestants will be tested on their knowledge of various topics such as family planning, economic development, and infrastructure development among other topics.
During previous pre-selection stages, there have been concerns about the contestants’ level of knowledge on various issues; one can only wait to see what Kigali has to offer.
