RwandAir gets first local CRJ NextGen aircraft pilot

Rwandair has got the first local pilot to fly a CRJ NextGen aircraft.Captain Jean Paul Muvunyi was unveiled on Tuesday by Jean Paul Nyirubutama, the airline’s deputy chief executive officer, at Kigali Internation Airport.

Rwandair has got the first local pilot to fly a CRJ NextGen aircraft.Captain Jean Paul Muvunyi was unveiled on Tuesday by Jean Paul Nyirubutama, the airline’s deputy chief executive officer, at Kigali Internation Airport. "We look forward to bringing on board more Rwandan pilots and technicians as one of the ways of reducing on operational costs,” Nyirubutama said.In December 2013, Bosco Murabukirwa became the first local RwandAir pilot to captain a Boeing 737.Muvunyi trained at CMC Flying School, Fort Worth Texas, USA and from  Toronto, Canada where he studied flight safety aviation.
