Kenya’s first ever Oscar nominee Lupita Nyong’o fans continue to show their support and appreciation for the actress.
On Sunday, Lupita’s family, friends and fans congregated for a thanksgiving mass for the 12 Years a Slave breakout star at Nairobi’s Ridgeway Baptist Church. The occasion was aimed at celebrating her rising portfolio, especially her nomination for the 86th edition of the Academy Awards slated for March 2.
Lupita’s Hollywood conquest has excelled beyond the screen, as she has received an equal recognition as a fashion magnate.
The 30 year-old has taken critics by storm this awards season for her moving performance in 12 Years a Slave, picking up a Screen Actors Guild award for Supporting Actress just a few days after her Oscar nomination.
"She’s very special. Very special young lady. We’re going to see great things from her,” Hollywood star Brad Pitt told E! News on January 19.
