Embattled Amagaju FC are optimistic they will get out of the relegation zone despite losing 10 out of 15 matches in the current Turbo King League.

Head coach Godfrey Okoko said over the weekend he has hopes his side will avoid relegation by the end of the season.

The Southern Province-based side is thirteenth on the log and tied on 7 points with rock-bottom Esperance.

He said: "I am quite sure we will soon start winning again. We are working hard, though it’s not that easy. I was tasked with a mission of ensuring that Amagaju doesn’t drop into the second division league and I am still positive we will achieve that goal.”

"The players should be commended for putting up a tough fight throughout the season. Sometimes, we are not consistent enough but we have to try and get back to our level,” added the former La Jeunesse and Mukura coach.

Their next game is away to Esperance.
