Seven girls battled it out for a slot in the national beauty pageant but only three would make it through after impressing a panel of judges.Belise Hitayezu, 19, in her S.6 vacation, beat the rest to the regional crown after. The former ENPD Karubanda student was followed by Mouna Dukundewho (first runner-up) and Lydia Kayitesi, who emerged second runner-up.The panel was composed of Jolie Murenzi, Wilson Ruyenzi and Mike Karangwa. Only the City of Kigali is yet to pick their reps for the national level contest.Miss Rwanda 2014 finals are slated for February 22.The Ministry of Sports and Culture is organising the event together with East African Promoters, with Mutzig and Cogebanque the sponsors.
