THE national cricket season is scheduled to begin this weekend with the 2014 V.R.Naidu/RCA T20 tournament, according to Rwanda Cricket Association [RCA]. The V.R.Naidu / RCA T20 tournament is sponsored by RCA in partnership with the Naidu family. The Naidu family representative, Srinath Vardhineni, said: "We are delighted to partner with RCA in promoting Rwanda cricket. We have decided to do this again after last year’s tournament was a success,”Last year’s tournament attracted seven men and four women teams.  White Clouds CC and Challengers CC emerged the winners in the women and men categories, respectively.This year’s tournament will have eight men’s and four women’s teams. All games will be played at Kicukiro cricket ground. Kerala Hunters are making their debut in the men’s category. KHCC come into the competition as favorites after winning the Zaaffran T20 tournament in December last year.
