Meet the Miss Rwanda 2014 hopefuls

Miss Rwanda 2014 pre-selections are ongoing and so far three provinces; North, West and East have already chosen their representatives as the pre-selections head to the Southern province that has ruled the competitions producing the first and the current Miss Rwanda.

Dream career: Architect

Miss Rwanda goal: To help the youth, especially girls, to be self reliant through utilising various government programmes such as Ndi Umunyarwanda.

Age: 23
Province: Northern
Occupation: Student at Mount Kenya University
Hobbies: Hanging with my friends
Role model: President Paul Kagame 
Dream Career: IT specialist
Miss Rwanda goal: To encourage the youth to engage in job creation and allocation because collectively we can help develop our country. I would also like to sensitise girls about self-respect and hard work because we have the potential to achieve our goals. 
Name: Marlene Mutoniwase
Age: 22 
Province: Northern
Occupation: Student at Kigali Independent University (ULK) and model
Hobbies: Reading books, swimming, participating in cultural dances and watching movies
Role model: First Lady, Jeanette Kagame
Dream Career: Financial manager and international model
Miss Rwanda goal: To fight gender based violence, promote gender equality and fight drug abuse.

Dream Career: I want to be a business oriented lady who serves the community efficiently
Miss Rwanda goal: I want to help the youth attain physical and mental health through promoting a reading 
culture and sports.

Role model: None in particular because I’m inspired by each person in their own way
Dream career: IT specialist
Miss Rwanda goal: To add more strength to the IT sector and most especially among girls. I believe girls can make it in the IT sector and it is a strong tool for development.

Miss Rwanda goal: To instill confidence in girls by assuring them that they can be whatever they want to be and to be a good ambassador of my country.
