Police in Ngoma District are investigating the death of Jean Damascene Bagaragaza, a father of three and resident of Rukira sector, Ngoma District.

Bagaragaza’s body was recovered in Lake Rwabizigira in Rukira sector after two days of search. The wife of the deceased said her husband could have been killed by a neighbour because of a land dispute.

"Children who had gone to fetch water, saw our neighbour beating up my husband,” said the young woman amid sob. Police said one suspect had been arrested to help police with the investigations.
