One of Kigali’s popular recording facilities, Ibisumizi has closed as the owner looks for a new home. The Biryogo-based studio run by Hip-hop singer Emery Gatsinzi aka Riderman, will be out of service for two months."It’s the location issue: most of our clients have been complaining about the location of the studio. We decided to close down the facility and look for a better place where we can relocate within two months,” said Riderman, who also revealed that the facility had no proper control room for recording. "We intend to equip the new studio with a modern control room and quality facilities. We also want to ensure that our studio provides considerably good and conducive environment for the artistes to record their music,” he added. Ibisumizi opened in October 2011, recording for local musicians such as Queen Cha, M. Izzo, Knowless, Urban Boyz and Kamishi.
