In a bid to boost their hopes of challenging for the national football league title, Police FC have strengthened their squad with three new players in the January transfer window which closed at midnight Saturday.According to the club spokesperson, Jean Dieu Mayira, Sam Ssimbwa’s side have signed Sec Academy goalie Steven Ntalibi, former Marines and Etincelles midfielder Moussa Habimana and Julius Mucyaba from Express of Uganda, all on two year-deals."We have signed them because they fit very well into our structures and future plans, they are all still at a relatively young age and we hope they can add more strength to the squad as we chase for trophies this season,” Mayira said. He said the team has done well in the first half of the season and with the addition of these three new players, it can only get better. "We still want to win the league and the Peace Cup this season,” he added.On Saturday Police beat Esperance 2-1 but stayed in fourth position with 27 points, six points behind leaders APR, five behind second placed Rayon Sports.
