APR and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) have reached the playoffs finals of the 2022/2023 season after sweeping the Patriots and Espoir respectively in the best of five semifinals playoffs.

REG booked their ticket to the finals after winning three games in a row against Espoir including Sunday’s 96-60 Game 3 win to go through unbeaten.

Star point guard Adonis Filer ran the show on Sunday, scoring a team high 19 points as on teammate Pascal Niyonkuru and Kami Kabange contributed 16 and 14 points respectively to finish the best of five semifinals series in style.

Ntore Habimana starred with a game high 19 points while De Marcus Holland added 13 points to sweep Patriots who looked average without Michael Dixon.

The finals will be played in a "best-of-seven series” format, with Game 1 scheduled on September 1 at BK Arena.
