THE CONFEDERATION of African football federations (CAF) has appointed Rwandan referees for the Africa Confederation Cup 1st leg tie between Kenya’s AFC Leopards against Ethiopia’s Defence FC scheduled for mid February.Centre referee Gervais Munyanziza will be assisted by Honarie Simba as the 1st Assistant, Raymond Bwiliza 2nd Assistant, while Abdoul Twagiramukiza will be the fourth official with Ugandan Abbas Ssendyowa being the match commissioner.Forty-two clubs will be involved in the preliminary round to be joined by ASEC Mimosas, Ismaily, Wadi Degla, Djoliba, MAS, Bayelsa United, Warri Wolves, El Ahly Shandy, Etoile du Sahel, Club Athletique Bizertin  and Zesco United  at the 1/16th round.Back on the local scene, Rayon Sports, who are still coming to terms with the shock resignation of their French coach Didier Gomes da Rosa early this week, will take on AC Leopards from Congo Brazzavile in the Caf Champions league.While Rwanda Peace Cup winners, AS Kigali will make a short trek to Bujumbura to take on Academie Tchite in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round.
