RWANDA Football Federation (Ferwafa) has started selling tickets to local football fans who want to watch the 2014 World Cup final which will be held in Brazil. According to Ferwafa boss Vincent Degaule Nzamwita, tickets will be on sale effective this week. "Those who want to watch the World Cup final should come to Ferwafa and select the different kinds of tickets they want and be guided on how to purchase them,” said Nzamwita. Tickets for the opening match are staked in three different categories; CAT1 for 495$ [Rwf.335, 102], CAT2 330$ [Rwf.223, 401], CAT3 220$ [Rwf.148, 934]. Match tickets for group stage matches range from $175 [Rwf.118, 470] to $90 [Rwf.60, 927].Match tickets for 1/8 round have been staked at $220 [Rwf.148,934] to $110 [Rwf. 74,467] while quarter final matches will range from $330 [Rwf.223,401] to $165 [Rwf. 111,700]. The semi final matches will range from $660 [Rwf.446, 803] to $275 [Rwf. 186,168] with the final matches set to be watched at $990 [Rwf 670,204] highest and $440 [Rwf.297, 868] lowest. More than 6.2 million tickets have been requested for the first World Cup in Brazil since 1950, nearly double the amount of total tickets available. Tickets for the most popular games were not on sale in the second phase, including the June 12 opener in Sao Paulo, the July 13 final at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, the two semi-finals and all of Brazil’s group-stage matches. Fifa said about 62 per cent of the tickets went to Brazilians, with most of the international sales going to Americans, Australians, English and Argentines.
