What is the SMART board?

The SMART interactive white board is a touch-sensitive technology which literally transfers your board into an input and output device, it is like connecting your blackboard or writing board to a computer.

The board turns the entire computer system into a touch sensitive screen that allows one to write and transfer what is written directly to the computer.

The smart board gives a presenter or trainer the power to engage the audience or class into active participatory interaction which in turn delivers better productivity.

The key to this experience is touch. You simply touch the surface to select menus and icons. To write notes, pick up a pen, and write with either a pen or your finger. You do not need batteries or special tools.

Your computer is connected to the board using a USB cable through which the board gets powered, a projector is attached to the PC facing directly to the white board.
