The conference aims at exploring different problems women face and how they can best be solved. The conference will take place at Kigali Serena Hotel on January 12 2014. It will feature various female from Rwanda and other neighboring countries. Invited musicians include Christina Shusho from Tanzania, Marion Shako from Kenya and other Rwandan musicians.KaraokeMicha’s Bistro Café located at Muhima will feature Karaoke and live music tonight. Heaven Restaurant located in Kiyovu features Happy hour nightly from 5pm – 7pm (buy one get one free on wine and local beers). Grill and Barbeque located in Kacyiru after PSI Rwanda has Karaoke from 8pm. Entrance is free and there are prizes to be won for the best singers. CinemaCentury Cinema, located at Kigali City Towers, will throughout the festive season screen various movies. They include, The hobbit: The desolation of Smug , Thor 2: The Dark World, Black Nativity, Captain Phillips, The Counselor, Bullet Raja, Frozen, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty which premiers on December 27. Entrance fee varies between Rwf3500 and Rwf5000 for screenings in 2D, 3D and 5D and on weekdays and weekend. There’s a special discount for children and students. From Monday to Thursday, 2D movies are Rwf2500 and 3D movies are Rwf3500.DramaGoethe Institut located in Kiyovu will host a drama event for Rwandan theater enthusiasts this Saturday January 11 from 10am – 6pm. It is open for both beginners and advanced practitioners ready to share their passion for theatre or simply aim at getting to know more about drama. Through the medium of play, participants will get in contact with each other and exchange perspectives and attitudes. Theater director Jan-Christoph GOCKEL and actor Laurenz LEKY have been conducting a research tour in the Congo and will share their experiences. SportKing James is still performing country wide and will this weekend be in Rwamagana on Saturday at Avega Hall in the afternoon. The concert dubbed "Umuriro Watse” will feature performance by Riderman, Jaypolly, Ama G the Black, TBB, Active, Danny nanone, Senderi International Hit, NPC and Social. Entrance is Rwf1000. HangoutsMeze Fresh Restaurant hosts daily happy hour(s) from 3pm – 6pm and 9pm – 11pm. There’s live music every Friday. In Kiyovu, Republika Restaurant offers Happy Hour discounts on Saturdays only for certain food and drinks and meanwhile you can munch on free bruschetta bread while you wait for your meal.
