Rwamagana district officials have called on residents to gather for prayer in designated places of worship, following a tragic incident that claimed the life of a young woman during a prayer session at a neighbor's residence on Thursday, August 24.
Sources report that the unfortunate event occurred in Akinyambo Cell, Muyumbu Sector, within the home of a local resident, which had been repurposed as a makeshift "prayer room."

The victim, identified as Zubeda Mutesi, a 22-year-old who had recently relocated from Kamonyi to Rwamagana for casual employment, tragically lost her life during this gathering.
Bonny Bahati, the Executive Secretary of Muyumbu Sector said Mutesi began to feel dizzy during a singing session before collapsing.
In a statement posted on the Rwamagana District's Twitter (X) page, local authorities expressed their condolences for the loss of the young woman. They urged citizens to avoid holding prayer sessions in potentially hazardous locations and encouraged the reporting of gatherings that could pose similar risks.
The statement further emphasized that prayer gatherings should only take place in established churches and mosques, emphasizing the importance of safety during communal worship.
