Esperence have won two, drew one and lost ten of their 13 first round league matches.Speaking to Times Sport on Wednesday, Esperance head coach Camalade Banamwana said, "We are fighting to stay in this division, that is our target but which won’t be easy to achieve.”"It has been a rude welcome for us in the topflight division, but we are using this break to intensify our preparations before the league second round starts,” he noted.When the league resumes on January 18, Esperance will open up the battle against fourth-placed Police FC and take on league leaders APR seven days later.On the transfer front, Banamwana said, "We’re looking to bring in at least four mature players. I need a central defender, attacking midfielder, a right winger and one striker before Monday’s deadline.”
