National football league side Espoir FC will not sign any new player in the ongoing transfer window which closes on January 18, the team head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha has said.

The Rusizi-based side stands in fifth position with 24 points, six points behind leaders APR in the 14-team table after 13 rounds of matches.

Espoir  will start the league second round battle with a game against Rubavu-based Etincelles on Saturday.

"The team is doing very well and I don’t think we need to change anything in terms of reinforcement on the squad. Instead, we are trying to improve by intensifying our preparations,” the former Kibuye and Mukura coach said on Wednesday.

He noted that the team started training on Monday in preparation for the start of the league second round.

Ruremesha joined Espoir before the start of this season and was given a target of finishing in top six and as things stand, it appears he is on track to achieve that target unless his players take foot off the gas in the final 13 league matches.
