Goethe-Institut, a German cultural centre in Kigali invites the public to the free screening of a poetic documentary– Kontakthof by Germany’s celebrated choreographer- Anne Linsel.The 89 minutes documentary has the original German version and English subtitles. Synopsis Kontakthof is a 2010 poetic documentary by Linsel. It is world renowned choreography by late German dance theater star Piña Bausch from 1978. In 2008, two of the original main dancers rehearsed the piece with fifty students, 14 to 18 years old, each with completely different backgrounds.The documentary showcases the rituals of flirting, turning somebody on and being rejected, of longings, posing, seduction and failing between women and men in dancing, musical, theatrical masterpiece. Kontakthof features the last pictures of Piña Bausch shortly before her death in June 2009. Entrance to the screening is free. The movie starts at 6:30 pm at Goethe-Institut in Kiyovu.
