RPF unveils party candidates for Ngoma district

EASTERN PROVINCE NGOMA — The Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) party on Tuesday announced another eight candidates fronted for the party’s primaries in Ngoma district. This is in preparation for the September parliamentary polls.

NGOMA — The Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) party on Tuesday announced another eight candidates fronted for the party’s primaries in Ngoma district. This is in preparation for the September parliamentary polls.

The candidates include, Nathaniel Mugenzi, Tharracise Shemakokera, Liberata Kaitesi, Liberata Irambona, Bernard Rutayisire, Beatrice Mukankuranga, Adolph Kayigi and Chantal Mukarutesi. They were presented by the district party chairman, Julius Kansime at a function held at Cyasemakamba stadium.

Kansime also doubles as the district vice mayor in charge of finance and economic development. Out of the eight candidates, four will be endorsed on 10th of next month by the district RPF committee to campaign on the party ticket in the upcoming polls.

The people who constitute the district RPF committee include, the district administrative committee, the district youth council, district women representatives, district representative of disabled persons, representatives of RPF at Sector levels and RPF chairpersons at Cell level among others.

According to the rules, the nominated candidates must include two men and two women. The president of RPF national technical team, Francois Nshunguyinka urged the candidates to stick to the party rules during campaigns.

Nshunguyinka appealed to the members to continue spreading the party’s good deeds in order to rally other people behind the party. He appealed to all Rwandans to participate in the forthcoming parliamentary elections peacefully.
