The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) on Friday, August 25, confirmed that it has summoned popular Rwandan actor Jean-Bosco Uwihoreye, popularly known as Ndimbati, on charges of neglecting parental duties.
"Yes! It is true. He was summoned on the basis of an ongoing investigation into neglect of parental duties without cause and neglect of a person in one's care," RIB spokesperson Thierry Murangira told The New Times, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

The New Times understands that Ndimbati, who is famous for a YouTube series called Papa Sava, was summoned on August 23, after his baby mama reported that the actor was neglecting his parental responsibilities of raising their twins.
According to Murangira, Ndimbati is also being investigated for failing to pay child support for his two daughters.

According to the law, a parent, guardian or other person legally responsible for a child who, without reasonable excuse, neglects any of their legal duties to the extent that the health, safety and living conditions of the child are seriously endangered or the child becomes a vagrant, commits an offence.
On conviction, he or she is liable to community service for a maximum period of one month. In case of recidivism, the penalty is imprisonment for a term of not less than two months and not more than six months and a fine of not less than Rwf500, 000 and not more than Rwf1,000, 000, or one of these penalties only.

Ndimbati was acquitted by the Nyarugenge Intermediate Court in September 2022 on charges of defilement and intoxication of a minor.
Meanwhile, the actor has taken to social media to deny accusations that he doesn't take care of his twins, posting a picture of his two children having fun at the just concluded Expo 2023.
Other reports suggest that the famous film actor didn't take his two daughters to the Expo, but instead met them at the International Fair, where he had a gig, and posed for pictures.
