MUSANZE — The Bishop of Shira Diocese, John Ruchahana, has appealed to youth in the country to learn to work hard for development. The Bishop appealed to youth to work towards shaping their own destiny without expecting donations.

Ruchahana said this during the soccer tournament involving school kids organised by Kids Across Africa Camp (KAAC) in Musanze recently. He said that the ‘devil’ deprived Africa of its integrity and restoration can only come from God.

"We must reconcile with God and between ourselves in order to build this nation and this starts from youth sowing seeds of hope,” he said.

Quoting from the Bible, Ruchahana said, ‘When we run away from the corruption of this world, we shall be partners of divine nature.’’

Kids Across Africa Camp , is composed of members of Episcopal Church and aims at bringing together children from across Africa and from USA.

Gregg Bettis, the founder of the organisation said that the KAAC is a plat form to build Christian leaders and to bring healing, unity among children.

"Relationship with God helps life to make sense and come up with a vision for the future,’’ Gregg said. He revealed that, the organisation is set to construct an international sports centre worth $ 3.5 million on Lake.

Burera, where different sporting activities will be held. It will also be an international centre for spiritual healing.

Jonathan Nemrod, Liberia-born retired basket baller from USA, is the current president of Kids Across Africa Camp. He thanked the Rwandan leaders for equipping the youth with knowledge.
