Jean-Baptiste Hakizimana was left disappointed after his Pro hopes were blown apart by a rugged display after Day two of the on-going Uganda Professional Golfers Association (UPGA) qualification tournament in Uganda.

The Rwandan ace who is contesting alongside seven Ugandans finished 15 strokes off the qualification cut after accumulating an aggregate of 160.

The MTN-sponsored lad looked weary on the Entebbe golf course when he shot 11 over on Day one and seven over on Day two. Uganda’s Gerald Ayella, who was in control of the leader board with an aggregate of 145, is the only competitor within qualification range so far.

Yesterday, the golfers headed to Kampala Golf Club for the third and fourth day. To qualify for the paid ranks, a golfer has to average three over par after the four rounds.
