Let me start with the most recent. It got me all the money I needed to spend this Festive Season so I am not ashamed of it. Yes, I sold Christmas trees - and not the artificial ones; the natural ones. After selling, I would also place them in the buyer’s home. I actually have an order as we speak!
Let me start with the most recent. It got me all the money I needed to spend this Festive Season so I am not ashamed of it. Yes, I sold Christmas trees - and not the artificial ones; the natural ones. After selling, I would also place them in the buyer’s home. I actually have an order as we speak! Some are so ‘green’, they also asked for New Year trees! True story. I am now working on getting that money!I also worked in a garage. Being an Electronics and Telecom Engineering student, they thought I knew a lot and hired me. All I did was use technical language with the clients and they would pay us highly, claiming I have done motor engineering for six years. I have lived in Uganda long enough to know how to make a rolex (not the watch, but chapatti rolled with eggs). In Uganda, it is believed that the best rolex is the one by the roadside. I tried it in Rwanda and it got me into some serious trouble so that is why I am contemplating selling New Year trees. They say money can make people do anything. Yes, I was a secretary to some lecturer as well. I would carry his books and laptop. The worst part of this is that I wouldn’t dodge his class. After receiving so many comments from my classmates calling me his son and so on, I proceeded to fail his paper with flying colours – that’s how badly I flunked! It was the worst part of my year. However, I am proud to say that I didn’t go to extreme levels just to get a buck. I did what I thought was decent – even though I’m becoming a con man for even considering New Year trees as we all know well (save for my ‘green’ customers) there is no such thing!
