Rwanda sent a team of 106 players in six disciplines to the 5th edition of the East Africa Local Authority Sports and Culture Association (EALASCA) 2013 games, which started on Tuesday in the Burundian capital Bujumbura.The delegation, which also includes several officials from different districts, left Kigali on Monday. The athletes will compete in different disciplines, including volleyball (Nyarugenge district), traditional dance (Indatirwa Bahizi troupe), basketball men (Kicukiro district), basketball women (Gasabo district) and football (selection from different districts).The team was seen off by the Mayor of the City of Kigali, Fidel Ndayisaba, at Stade de Kigali in Nyamirambo. According to the City of Kigali coordinator of Youth, Sports and Culture, Charles Rusimbi, the delegation will return home on December 23, a day after the conclusion of the games.
