Edutainment, interactive sessions and playful games are just some of the activities that children will enjoy at a children’s expo, the first of its kind in Rwanda.
The week-long event dubbed ‘Kid’s Expo’ is slated for August 26 to September 3, at Spiderman Game Centre, Masaka.
The brains behind the event, Paul Ndabarasa, told The New Times’ that the driving force behind Kid’s Expo was a dedicated team of enthusiastic youth who recognised the potential to create a unique event tailored specifically to children's interests and needs.
Ndarasa is the Managing Director of Wane Event Management, a team of young entrepreneurs that are organising the event where they will provide a platform for vendors specializing in children's products and services, with an emphasis on promoting locally-made products and supporting young entrepreneurs.
"Central to the Kids Expo's mission is the promotion of "Made in Rwanda" products. Recognising the importance of supporting local industries, the event will gather a diverse range of vendors offering products that were crafted within the country. Beyond being a marketplace, the Kids Expo is to create an interactive and educational experience for young attendees. Various activities, workshops, and performances were organized as well to engage children in a fun and informative manner,” Ndabarasa said.
