Rivalry continues to brew on the local music scene, as two upcoming musicians take their differences to the next level. Mico Prosper, aka Mico The Best ,and Austin Luwano, aka Uncle Austin, are in the war of words over what the former calls ‘Agasuzuguro’, (disrespect). Mico claimed that Uncle Austin had recently bragged that: "Riderman’s blessing is his, Simple Level’s blessing is theirs and Uncle Austin’s blessing is not Mico’s”.In an interview with The New Times, Uncle Austin said: "Mico is looking for cheap popularity and that is common with people of his caliber.”"When I made those comments I wasn’t referring to him in particular. How come other artistes are not complaining? I can’t teach a 30-year old man to understand statements,” he added. This apparently did not go down well with Mico, and the ‘High Class’ hitmaker has vowed to prove to his rival who is bigger in music. "Austin feels I am a threat to him but what he doesn’t understand is that I am not competing with him. I don’t see any "beef” between me and Uncle Austin because we don’t share anything whatsoever. He should mind his business and leave me alone. That way he won’t have to be threatened by my success.”Mico took part in this year’s Primus Guma Guma Superstar competition, emerging 5th. He walked away with Rwf1.5m.
