Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba) and Crowd Management Protocol (CMP) have entered a partnership to organise Street Ball from December 21 - 22 at Amahoro indoor stadium in Remera, Kigali.The 3 on 3 Basketball tournament will be played in three categories; Juniors (U18) as well as the seniors Men and Women. Each team is composed of four players (three players on the field and one substitute) and they play for 10 minutes.The 3 on 3 is a new game format endorsed by Federation of International Basketball Association (Fiba) as part of a mission to develop and promote basketball in line with Fiba’s vision to make basketball the most popular community sports discipline across the world. According to Ferwaba officials, this competition will help them select a team of young players, who will feature for U-18 team, which will compete in All Africa Youth Games 2014 in Gaborone, Botswana.The registration of teams started on Tuesday at Ferwaba headquarters at Amahoro stadium in Remera.Teams will be registered according TO the ages of player categories (U18 or seniors) Men and Women. All the U-18 players must provide their National IDs or student cards.
