Why you should embrace ‘Ndi Umunyarwanda’ drive

Editor, The young generation needs to embrace and spearhead the Ndi Umunyarwanda drive and the Rwandan spirit in general. We need to be truly one people and be able to steer our country to the next level. Young people are also naturally patriotic, and this should effectively facilitate the Government’s goals towards the welfare of all Rwandans.

This is what we are doing where I live: we started by visiting local high schools, but we are also planning to bring the Rwandan spirit into our homes where we will be talking to parents, friends and the elderly. I thank the youth for coming up with and the Government supporting this reconciliatory idea that aims at finding a lasting solution to a traumatic past and forge ahead as a united people.Emmanuel Musenge, RwandaReaction to the story, "Students form club to spread Rwandan spirit” (The New Times, December 11)
