Editor,I wish to comment on the story, "Kigali special economic zone maintenance fee to be revised” (The New Times, December 11).We need to support investors as much as we possible because it’s through investments that more Rwandans will find jobs and help development their families and communities.Let’s say, the fee goes down to a quarter of what had been set, meaning Rwf50 per square meter, and a holiday given to help the investors first settle in the new premises. This could be projected to start in the second half of 2014 to give the investors time to prepare for the fee.The current infrastructure is in good shape and may not need repair until the next three years. We need to make these investors comfortable and be able to create more opportunities for our skilled and unskilled locals.Richard Niwenshuti, Kigali
