DEFENDER Eric Serugaba has quit football leaving his Club As Kigali in suspense. His contract with AS Kigali runs until May next year but the player left the country in October to unite with his wife Murekatete Bora who was sick at the time. He was expected to return but it seems he has thrown in the towel."I have quit football for good. There was nothing much I was benefiting from playing football despite putting more of my efforts in the game. It was not rewarding at all. I don’t think I will play football again, be it here in the USA or in Rwanda in the near future,” Serugaba who is now based in Minnesota told the press. Serugaba has played for different clubs in the national football league namely; APR, SC Kiyovu, Etincelles and currently AS Kigali despite having a bidding contract with the Kigali City sponsored club until May 2014.
