Turbo League resumes this weekend

AFTER Amavubi’s quarter final exit from the 2013 GoTv Cecafa Challenge Cup, the local football federation, Ferwafa has brought forward the tenth round of Turbo King Football league which is scheduled for this weekend.Initially, the league was scheduled to resume on December 21.

AFTER Amavubi’s quarter final exit from the 2013 GoTv Cecafa Challenge Cup, the local football federation, Ferwafa has brought forward the tenth round of Turbo King Football league which is scheduled for this weekend.Initially, the league was scheduled to resume on December 21.The big match of the day this weekend will pit 13-time champion APR against SC Kiyovu at Amahoro Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Both APR and SC Kiyovu will be eager to amass maximum points so as to extend their hunt for the Turbo League title. APR lies second on the standings with 20 points, two ahead of the old giants. In other matches, Etincelles will host league leaders, AS Kigali at Umuganda, Esperance face AS Muhanga at Mumena stadium while Gicumbi will host Espoir at Gicumbi turf. On Sunday, defending champion Rayon Sport face visitors Marines at Stade de Kigali, Mukura will lock horns against visitors Musanze at Kamena stadium while Police will host Amagaju at Kicukiro turf. AS Kigali maintains the lead at the summit of the Turbo League standings with 21 points while newcomers Esperance sits bottom of the table with four points after nine matches played so far.
