LAST year’s semi-finalists Sunrise beat Kirehe 2-0 to ascend to the summit of Group A after the second round of the Second Division League played over the weekend. The win over Kirehe was Sunrise’s second victory of the season following their 2-0 win over Akagera in Rwamagana a fortnight ago. In other Group A matches played, Sorwathe beat Vision 1-0 in Kinihira; Gasabo drew level with Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle at Ferwafa turf. The matches between Rwamagana and Intare as well as Akagera fixture against Isonga were shifted following heavy rains to this weekend. In Group B, Interforce beat hosts National University of Rwanda 1-2; Aspor registered a 3-1 win over United Stars at Kicukiro ground while Pepiniere lost 3-0 to Etoile de l’est at Ferwafa turf while Unity played a 2-all draw against Bugesera at Mumena stadium.
