RWANDAN RIDERS, Janvier Hadi and Valens Ndayisenga have been shortlisted among 24 potential cyclists nominated for the second edition of the 2013 Africa Cyclist of the year award. In a press statement, organisers of the award, who are the organisers of the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, nominated 24 riders for the vote of the African Cyclist of the Year. The winner will be decided by a jury chaired by Bernard Hinault with a prestigiousMember: Chris Froome who won this year’s Tour du France.Other favourite riders nominated for the award include; Eritrea trio of Daniel Teklehaimanot, Metkel Eyob, Kudus Merhawi, Moroccan pair of Essaid Abelouache and Adil Jelloul, and South African duo of Louis Meintjes and Dylan Girdlestone.Others are Barbari Adil (Algeria), Natnael Berhane (Eritrea), Rafaa Chtioui (Tunisia), Issiaka Cisse (Ivory Coast, Meksen Debesay (Eritrea), Metkel Eyob (Eritrea), Tsgabu Grmay (Ethiopia), Soufian Haddi (Morocco), Abdelbaset Hannachi (Algeria), Daryl Impey (South Africa), Janse Van Rensburg Reinhardt (South Africa), Lagab Azzedine (Algeria), Abdoul Aziz Nikiema (Burkina Faso), and Yves Ngue Ngock (Cameroon).
