Nigerian media mogul, Ben Bruce Murray has expressed interest to invest in Rwanda’s media industry.  He made the remarks last week after a four-day visit to explore investment opportunities in Rwanda.

Nigerian media mogul, Ben Bruce Murray has expressed interest to invest in Rwanda’s media industry.  He made the remarks last week after a four-day visit to explore investment opportunities in Rwanda."This country’s   exceptional beauty, cleanliness, and economic robustness, can only be showcased effectively through creating a powerful local media network.” he said during a press conference held at the Rwanda Development Board (RDB).The 59-year-old who owns Silver Bird, a multi-million dollar media conglomerate in Nigeria, said that his group is considering investing in broadcast and movie theatre industries in Rwanda."We believe that for a country to achieve holistic progress, it has to be part of the information age, and our establishment here will be a crucial step in achieving it,” he said.He added that his group is considering venturing into real estate in the future.Ejidia Dusabe ,the senior Aftercare Officer in charge of investment promotion and Implementation at RDB, said that Murray’s plan is not  only expected  to boost the local  media industry, but will also brand Rwanda internationally."We believe that once they establish their network here, it will give the country opportunity to market its gifted nature, rich culture and the hospitality industry,” she said.
