Karekezi could leave Bizertin in January

FORMER Amavubi skipper Olivier Karekezi Fils is likely to leave Tunisian outfit CA Bizertin during January 2014’s Transfer window.

Karekezi joined the team to replace Mahmoud Ahmed Zuway striker CA Bizertin last year but Tunisian media has reported that the latter has not proved the coaching staff, who are now searching for a reliable and skilled striker to help the club’s in the upcoming league and continental engagements.

The Tunisian media further reported that Karekezi is on the verge of terminating his contract with CA Bizertin to sign for his former employee APR.

Officials Athletic Club Bizertin is completely convinced that they need to dump the Rwandan striker and replace him with Angolan center-forward Aguinaldo.

Karekezi joined CA Bizertin towards the end of September 2012 on a two-year deal.

In July 2013, he announced that he would retire from football when his contract with Bizertin expires in March 2015.

Karekezi made his international debut for Rwanda in 2000, and represented his country at the 2004 African Cup of Nations. After 13 years with the national team, he announced his retirement from international football in late August 2013.
