Alright I know for some things we can argue that we were never exposed to them before becoming adults but surely some common sense ought to prevail. I am really angry with the fools who enter an elevator while speaking loudly on their phones.

This is a small space occupied with different people. Do they really need to listen to which groceries your wife should buy from Kimironko market? What is so hard with staying outside and finishing with your call before entering the elevator after all if you miss it, it should be back in less than five minutes. 

 …just jump onto anything they see online without verifying. Almost every day there is a hoax message that is posted on Facebook or Twitter. What I find so annoying is how many people get fooled and start responding and spreading the same lie. These people will even call you names when you try to point out that the source was a parody account or a satirical website.

Mankind is doomed if people are now formulating opinions on what is fake and ignoring what is real. There is actually no better way to see that a holder of a smart phone is not smart at all than the way they react to such cases. 

…think it is cool to keep mentioning the different places they’ve been to. It is actually called place dropping. The habit of continuously mentioning the places you have been to especially if they happen to be outside the country. It is the other cousin of name dropping. Well we now know that you have been to London, Paris, Dubai or Nairobi. But you do not have to keep bringing it up as though you want us to think you are an airhostess for a big airline.

So what if you have been to those places, are they relevant to the topic we are discussing now or you are just trying to be a snob? Anyway at the end of the day what counts is whether those places made you a better person.    

…still think it is cool to display phones on the table. To be honest I really thought people had outgrown certain habits that reek of rural excitement. Take for the example the habit of displaying an array of phones on the table during a meeting. It is quite ok if it is one of those big smart phones that are not pocket friendly (literally). What I find disgusting is placing so many of them on the table as if they are on sale?

If you thought this cheap stunt makes you appear tech savvy then you are wrong, to me you are just a pay phone telephone operator wannabe. If people have stopped decorating their waists with phones then this table display should also stop. 

…have a habit of staring at others in the elevator. I had forgotten one other elevator behaviour that is quite sickening as well. Have you ever been in an elevator and the moment the doors are closed the fellow who found you inside decides that the best way to spend his time in this small cubicle is to stare at you? What is wrong with people? How do stare at someone one who is just a few centimetres from you.

This is beyond being rude. It actually makes me think you are contemplating biting me, kissing me or doing something sinister. Is it too much to ask of you to just look at your shoes or get your phone and read this article again?
