RPF’s new party members take oath

RUSIZI  —  At least 624 residents of Gashonga sector in Rusizi district last week took oath of allegiance to the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) party.

The new members joined the ruling party over the weekend during the party’s first sector general assembly that took place in Munini village in Kabakobwa cell.

"We are very happy to have registered 624 new members in our party. This indicates that all Rwandans have noticed the good deeds of RPF party in the region,” said the district Mayor, Jean Pierre Turatsinze who is also the district party chairman.  

Senator Faustine Munyakabera, who was the chief guest, encouraged party faithful and all residents to always work hard in order to achieve their future goals. Munyakabera also urged leaders on quality services in order to achieve development.

He implored party members to always exhibit exemplary discipline in order to rally people behind the party.

Munyakabera urged residents to fight against ethnic divisions and to foster peace, unity and reconciliation in the district.

Chantal Uwizeyimana, who was among the new party coverts said that her decision was motivated by the peace and stability ushered in by RPF in the region which has enabled the country to develop rapidly.

To ensure good governance and increase agricultural produce, leaders were advised to carry out regular evaluation of their activities.  

Residents were further advised to vote leaders who will foster development in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
