Finally the long awaited December holiday is here. The first weekend will give a glimpse of what the entire holiday month will hold. A range of activities from football to art jams to live bands to an album launch wait ahead.The Nutcrackers @ Christ Church GacuriroThis Saturday children have a reason to smile as Ballet Rwanda has brought you a wonderful children’s performance dubbed The Nutcrackers that will be held at Christ Church, Gacuriro. Entrance fee is Rwf 3000 and tickets will be sold at the entrance, children below five years enter for free. There will be cute kids dancing in cute attires so just take your child to have fun with others.Live BandsLa Diagonale de la Rumba a popular rumba band will thrill revelers at Greenwich Hotel in Kisimenti this evening through to Sunday evening with renditions of popular rumba tracks and their own compositions.Sound of Hills will take the stage at Milles Collines on Saturday and Sunday evening from 7to 9 PM playing renditions of popular Jazz, blues and soul tracks and occasionally tracks from their oncoming album.CinemaOn the big screen, movie goers have options of Thor 2, One Direction, Baggage claim, Krrish 3 and Gravity.  Viewers can choOse to catch movies at 4:30pm, 7:00pm or 9:00pm. Tickets for 3D are at Rwf 4500 and 2D tickets are at Rwf 3500.Album LaunchOn Saturday Kamichi will launch his third album Mudakumirwa at Kigali Serena Hotel from 6pm and the concert will go on till midnight. There will be guest performances by Amag the Black, Bruce Melody and Danny. The night’s host will be MC Tino (TBB) of KFM. Regular ticket charges will be at Rwf 5000 and VIP tickets at Rwf 10000.Night clubsFor those who enjoy shaking off the long week’s stress go check out K-club for the weekly Hot Fridays@ K-club and ‘Tune-up’ On Saturdays they treat their party people to the amazing Caribbean and dancehall night.
